When talking about the ideal interior, Florence goes right back to her roots: a bouquet of tulips sitting on a hundred year old table, a living room full of friends gathering for apéritif, a table effortlessly set for dinner with the family’s heirloom silverware mixed with the linens of the moment. As an interior designer, Florence Choux aspires to create elegant spaces with character and enjoys mixing the old and the new.
Born and raised in the French tropics, Florence left her idyllic island to study business in Paris at the esteemed Dauphine University. After receiving her degree, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to see what the other side of the world had to offer. Hearing the call of her creative soul, Florence received her second bachelor, in Interior Architecture and Design. For the past five years, she worked for two San Francisco interior design firms before starting her own interior design practice, Maison Flo, in 2009.
Florence regularly travels to Europe and to her home country where she enjoys strolling through the local flea markets, finding unique shops and going to museums. Stories from her travels can be found on her blog The Little Guide Book. She lives in Marin with her husband David, their new baby boy Luca and their dog Nougat!
